FRIDAY AFTERNOON FOOTBALL

The papers are reporting that Rangers may have to play four games in eight days in the run up to the league split, with matches being potentially played on Bank Holiday Friday’s in April – including the day of the Royal Wedding. Could be an interesting afternoon in Centre Circle if that one goes ahead (the match, not the wedding, which I assume is certain to go ahead) – Friday football wouldn’t be bad for us here in Dubai, but the fixture pile up will be really serious if The Gers get through against Sporting Lisbon – we may need to consider just booking into The Ramada Chelsea Hotel for the month as it will hardly be worth going home.

Saturday’s home SPL match against Motherwell will be screened live in Centre Circle – Kick-off 7pm.
