GERS CAN GO TOP TODAY!

The Champions can return to the top of the SPL today for the first time since the winter weather in Scotland caused fixture chaos.  The Mhanky Mhob’s game away to Inverness has just been postponed today due to a waterlogged pitch giving the Gers a chance to go 1 point clear with a victory at home.

Contrary to a lot of press reports, the Rangers website reports that Craig Whyte’s prospective buy-out of the club could be complete in the next 48 hours – it is also reported that he has been told that he will need to spend a minimum of £15M on new players in the summer transfer window.

On a negative note the list of injuries continues to mount: it seems that Vladimir Wiess’s season could be over as he is currently sporting a cast on a fractures foot, Madjid Bougherra will miss the next few games with a hamstring injury and Kyle Bartley is out for the remainder of the season with ligament damage.

Kirk Broadfoot and Jamie Ness will return to the squad for today’s game although neither has played a match in recent weeks.

Today’s big match kicks-off at 6pm local time in Dubai and will be streamed live in Centre Circle – Note: there will be no sound due to the cricket world cup final being screened at the same time.
