GERS WIN TOUGH MATCH IN INVERNESS

The Champions managed to grind out a 2 – 0 victory away to Inverness Caley Thistle yesterday thanks to two fairly soft penalty awards – although its fair to say we could have had a couple of others in the first half.

Nikica Jelavic slotted away the first one in the 60th minute (Paul Marks wins this weeks Golden Goal) but the keeper made a good save from the 2nd in the 67th minute before Mo Edu finished off on the rebound.

The Gers next match is on Thursday evening in the Europa League Qualifier away to Maribor. The kick-off is 10.45pm local time in Dubai and we are hoping to see the game live in Centre Circle, I’ll confirm later in the week that the match is on.  A pre-match curry is being organised in the bar, if you are interested in coming along please contact George Wilson for details (george_wilson@goodyear.com).
