The Champions returned to their rightful place at the top of the SPL yesterday thanks to a much improved performance and a 3-0 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park.

Stevie Naismith scored the first goal – although he knew nothing about it – in the 20th minute (Wes Tweedley wins this week’s Golden Goal and will be buying all the drinks on Thursday night) followed by a couple of great goals from Kyle Lafferty in the 45th and Greg Wylde in the 84th minutes respectively.

The Gers next match is on Thursday night at home to Maribor in the 2nd leg of the Europa Cup Qualifier – we really need to go on and win after scoring the away goal last week and then throwing the match away. The match kicks-off at 10.30pm and will be shown live as always in Centre Circle.  Anybody going out for a pre-match warm-up, remember its Ramadan so no alcohol until 8pm.
