Strangely enough, it was one of Rangers better performances in recent weeks, but despite making a number of good chances, in the end it took a Mo Edu equaliser to stop us dropping all three points against Aberdeen at Ibrox. The Gers are now 4 points behind in the SPL title race and badly need to hit a run of form.

After a couple of hopeful weeks it was back to the same scrappy football that we have seen for much of this season, but Nikica Jelavic’s two goals secured three important point away to St. Johnstone yesterday in a 2-1 win for The Champions.

Next match is on Saturday 21st January at home to Aberdeen.  The match kicks-off at 7pm local time on Dubai and will be shown live in Centre Circle as always.

The Champions put out a much changed team at Ibrox yesterday and right from the start played at a higher tempo than previous weeks and dominated the match from start to finish.

Goals from David Healy, Sone Aluko and an own goal from Stephen Craigan gave the Gers an emphatic, well deserved 3-0 victory.

The victory came at a cost however, with Kyle Lafferty being stretchered off in the 1st half with a hamstring injury which looks likely to keep him out for the next 4 or 5 weeks.

There are lots of rumours about changes taking place during this transfer window, so I expect there will be many changes to this team during future weeks but let’s hope they an keep up this level of performance and good football.

Rangers put out what looked like a really defensive formation away to Hibs yesterday, with only Nikica Jelavic up front, supported by Gregg Wylde on the wing.

The first half was pretty tough to watch, with neither side really creating any chances. But the introduction of Thomas Bendikson, in the 56th minute, helped the Champions to look more of an attacking threat in the 2nd half and two goals from Nikica Jelavic (the first from a penalty in the 61st minute – no Golden Goal Winner this week – if you want to take up one of the spare sets of minutes, let George know) were enough to keep The Champions 4 points clear at the top of the SPL.

Next game for the Gers is at home to Inverness next Saturday, 17th December. The match kicks off at 7pm local time in Dubai, so ditch the Christmas shopping and come down to centre Circle and watch the match live.

Don’t forget to let George know if you are interested in coming to the Christmas night this Friday or if you fancy a pre-match curry before the Mhanky Mhob game on the 28th of December.

Rangers go into this weeks international break 12 points clear thanks to a good 3-1 victory over Dundee United at Ibrox. We continued the run of scoring the first goal in every game, with Nikica Jelavic scoring a great goal in the 19th minute (Gavin Munro wins this weeks golden goal), followed by a Jelavic penalty and a Kenneth own goal.

Next game is not until Saturday 19th of November when The Champions are at home to St Johnstone. The match kicks-off at 7pm local time and will be shown live in Centre Circle. We’ve been getting some great crowds in for the matches this year, so if you haven’t been down for a while, come along and cheer The Gers on, I’m sure you will enjoy it.

The Gers recorded another important away win at Pittodrie today – but it came at a serious cost with player of the Season so far Stevie Naismith being stretchered off with a suspected cruciate knee injury in the first half.

It was his replacement Kyle Lafferty who broke the deadlock in the 58th minute with a great strike (Gordon Gibson wins this weeks Golden Goal and has committed to buy the beer at next weeks game if his wife lets him go). The 2nd was scored by Nikica Jelavic from the penalty spot and looked like plain sailing for the Champions from there.  However, Alan McGregor made an unusual mistake with 9 minutes to go allowing the Dons to get back into the match.

Aberdeen couldn’t get a second so The Champions now sit 12 points clear at the top of the SPL with the rest of this weekends fixtures still to be played.

Next game for The Champions is next Saturday at home to Dundee United. As the clocks will change tonight, the match will kick-off at 7pm local time here in Dubai and will be shown live in Centre Circle.

Rangers continued their great away run with a good 2 – 0 victory away to Hearts at Tynecastle yesterday. The team took a little time to settle with Hearts pressing in the opening minutes until Stevie Naismith ran onto a brilliant ball from the much criticised Steven Whittaker to score the opener in the 21st minute (Paul Marks wins the Golden Goal again!! Will he buy a drink this time?) . The 2nd goal was another cracker with Nikica Jelavic scoing in the 72nd minute with his first touch of the ball after coming on as a substitute.

We were recently contacted by Ian Sinclair regarding the death of his brother Alistair, who was a big Rangers supporter based here in Dubai. Alistair had a big collection of memorabilia and Ian has asked to us to try and find a good home for his late brothers collection, with any funds raised being donated to a local charity.  If you are interested in having a look, you can see photo’s of some of Alistair’s collection by clicking on the link on the home page of the website, or by clicking on the link below:
